balinese greeting

Om Swastyatu

hello this time i'll post about balinese greeting. The balinese culture is a mixed culture between hindu and old balinese culture, before hindu from india come to bali, there was a religion and when Hindu come to bali they were mixed, that's why Hindu in Bali and India is diferent but is still have the same vision, just the methode to pray is different.
Back to the topic, in order to  construct harmonious relationship and tighten the brotherhood in assocciation society, Hinduism teach brotherhood greeting with say " OM SWASTYASTU". This Greeting is use to strarting an activity or when mwwt someone.
example, when you come to your friend's house and meet someone you can say it, whenever the time, it is like saying good morning, good afternoon and atc.
           " OM" is mean God,
           " SU" is mean goodness
           " ASTI" is mean there
           " ASTU" is mean hopefully
so the whole meaning is mean HOPINGLY SAFE WITH GOD BLESS. so each activity have been executed by praying each other.
in balinese alphabet we write Om Swastyastu like this:

Special in terminating an activity or leave someone is wear " OM SANTI, SANTI, SANTI, OM" which the meaning is hopefully peace
When saying greeting, both of hand placed in front of chest with fingertip to the top, but if the situation do not enable, this attitude may not done. accepting greeting properly give answer with saying " OM SWASTYASTU" with the same attitude also. you can see the attitude when saying the both greeting on the picture:

that's why in my post i always write Om Swatyastu and ended by writen Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om. i'm sorry if my english is wrong, if you have a question please write down on the comment box. that,s all..

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om
